Resources

The library has its own single gateway to access all library resources and services from one point. Most of these resources are online and can be accessed on and off- campus by the ACM community.

Book Section

The library has a variety of printed books in all subject areas offered by the college, out of which over two thousand books are in the field of mathematics, engineering and technology, as well as a reference collection. The library’s online public access catalog allows individuals to check the availability status of library resources, including books and journals and provides them with personal accounts where they can view the items they have checked out and any overdue items.

Periodicals

The Library provides access to its subscriptions of journals and magazines, including a collection of peer-reviewed titles. The majority of the publications are available electronically. Users can use these periodicals to access news updates, scholarly research articles, and other valuable information.

E-Resources

ACM has access to various online databases as a shared subscription with the library. The library is subscribed to many high-caliber academic databases and digital resources, which are listed on the library website individually or in collections. The majority of these resources are databases for academic publications, giving full-text access to journals and conference proceedings, e-books, and reference materials as well as for citations and abstracts. The library is also subscribed to a number of databases best described as research tools offering a mixed variety of teaching and research utilities.

OPAC

Individuals can search for library resources such as books, journals, and other resources through the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) on the library website.

Facilities & Interactive Technology

Overview

Our high-tech library accommodates a wide range of cutting-edge facilities such as e-learning zones, cinema, and individual and group study spaces. Additionally, the facilities inside the library building accommodate innovative interactive technologies to provide convenience to the campus community.

E-learning Zones

The four E-Learning Zones are equipped with approximately 180 all-in-one touchscreen computers for students to access all electronic resources available through the library and the E-learning courses.

Interactive Technologies

  • Video walls: These interactive displays may be connected to or separated from the touch table facing them and have been used to show students’ academic activities and graduation ceremonies.
  • Touch tables: These devices may be used separately or connected to the video wall for group study, research of online content and databases, and several educational games.
  • Interactive/ Announcement screens: These screens are used to announce activities such as workshops, events, competitions, announcements by Student Affairs, internships and more.
  • Touch tablets: These devices are found on study room doors for on-spot room booking or accessing a room after booking.
  • Access control systems: These are used for students to access the meeting rooms by swiping their IDs to open the doors.
  • Self-check kiosks: These self-service machines are available near the library exit for students to check out, check in and renew their borrowed books.

Cinema

The HD Cinema comprises high-quality equipment where students can enjoy the clarity of the visuals as well as the full-surround sound system. It accommodates around 100 movie theater seats and offers the full experience of watching a movie at the cinema.

  • The library conducts open-reservation sessions two days a week every semester and invites students to watch inspirational or motivational movies in a variety of genres, such as action, drama, and sports.
  • Faculty members can also request a session at the Cinema to show a particular educational movie or display a video from the online databases.
